The 67-year-old pastor then started shivering uncontrollably in his seat, prompting people around him to rush to his side and provide comfort. Many were heard saying "back up " and "give him some space" as the live video was cut off. Soon after, a voice behind the camera instructed the church attendees and online spectators to "begin to pray."
The Potter's House of Dallas later released a statement on social media. "During today's service, Bishop TD Jakes experienced a slight health incident and received immediate medical attention following his powerful hour-long message. Bishop Jakes is stable and under the care of medical professionals. The entire Potter's House family is grateful for the outpouring of love, prayers, and support from the community."
