At the end of the day, the viewers can see a lighter moment when Shilpa Shirodkar celebrated her birthday. The actor requested Vivian Dsena to prepare four aloo tikkis for the occasion. Despite the day’s tensions, Vivian silently worked in the kitchen, unfazed by the drama around him.

The housemates came together for the celebration, with Shilpa sharing a laugh about a playful disagreement over the tikkis with Avinash Mishra. After cutting her "aloo tikki" birthday cake, Shilpa gave Avinash the first bite, bringing a sense of warmth to an otherwise chaotic day.

Vivian Dsena’s composed dedication to making the aloo tikkis was in stark contrast to the day’s chaos and his fans were impressed by this act. It has become a topic of discussion among Big Boss fans and if you are also a viewer of this show, why not enjoy the upcoming episodes with some aloo tikki. Here's an easy recipe to try.

Aloo Tikki Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 3 boiled and grated potatoes
  • 1 green chilli, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
  • ¼ tsp turmeric powder
  • ½ tsp Kashmiri red chilli powder
  • ½ tsp cumin powder
  • ½ tsp dry mango powder
  • ½ tsp chaat masala
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp finely chopped mint leaves
  • 2 tbsp finely chopped coriander leaves
  • 2 tbsp cornflour
  • Oil for frying

Method

  • Boil the potatoes until tender. Once cooked, drain the water immediately and let them cool. Grate the boiled potatoes into a large mixing bowl.
  • Add the chopped green chilli, ginger-garlic paste, turmeric powder, Kashmiri red chilli powder, cumin powder, dry mango powder, chaat masala, and salt to the potatoes.
  • Add the chopped mint and coriander leaves. Sprinkle in the cornflour to help absorb any excess moisture. Mix everything thoroughly to form a soft dough.
  • Lightly grease your hands with oil and shape the mixture into small, round, flat tikkis.
  • Heat oil in a pan for shallow frying. Place the tikkis in the pan and cook on low flame until golden brown on one side. Flip and cook the other side until evenly crisp and golden.
  • Serve the crispy aloo tikkis hot with green chutney, tamarind chutney or as a base for aloo tikki chaat.
