KKR Squad IPL 2025 Auction: Full List Of Players Bought By Kolkata Knight Riders

The IPL 2025 will be an exciting 18th season of the biggest cricketing extravaganza in the world, as the mega auction marks its return for the first time since 2022, with the mega event taking place on November 24 and 25 at Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. All eyes will be on defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders and how they shape up after the brilliant season in IPL 2024, where they lifted the trophy for the third time. They have retained 6 players and are just one of the two teams not to have an RTM card.

KKR have retained four capped players. They have shown trust in Rinku Singh and Varun Chakravarthy as the two Indian options. While Rinku was the top retention for Rs 13 crore, Chakravarthy, who has shown some brilliant T20I form off late for India was retained for Rs 12 crore. Sunil Narine and Andre Russell were the two KKR legends who were retained for Rs 12 crore and 11 crore respectively. Harshit Rana and Ramandeep Singh were the two uncapped retentions for Rs 4 crore each.

The biggest news coming out of their retentions is that they have released their IPL-winning captain Shreyas Iyer. Hence, it will be interesting to note if they buy back the batter in the IPL 2025 auction. On the other hand, their auction strategy under new mentor Dwayne Bravo will also be a notable thing to keep an eye on.
