South Indian superstar Nayanthara and her husband, director Vignesh Shivan, recently took a delectable detour from their busy schedules to enjoy a casual dinner in Delhi. The couple managed to avoid the limelight and stay incognito as they savoured some local delicacies in the capital city. Their visit included a stop at the iconic Kake da Hotel in Connaught Place, where they celebrated a low-key yet memorable birthday eve for Nayanthara. Despite their stardom, the couple patiently waited for 30 minutes to secure a table and ended up sitting at the center of the restaurant.

Vignesh Shivan, who shared glimpses of their evening on Instagram, revealed how the couple’s birthday celebration stood out for its simplicity and intimacy. He posted a video capturing candid moments of the two feeding each other and enjoying the warm and bustling ambiance of the restaurant. Talking about the food they ordered, it seemed like saag meat, butter chicken and another curry paired with naan.

The Charm of Kake Da Hotel
Kake Da Hotel is one of Delhi’s oldest and most popular eateries. It is renowned for its robust flavours and authentic North Indian cuisine. The restaurant’s history dates back to 1931 when it was first established in Lahore by the Late Shri Amolak Ram Chopra. Post-partition, the eatery relocated to Delhi, and by 1954, it had found its permanent home in Connaught Place.
Kake Da Hotel serves hearty and flavourful curries, tandoori dishes and quintessential North Indian delights made with pure desi ghee. The kebabs and tikkas are a must-try, with options like Seekh Kebab, Chicken Tandoori, Chicken Tikka and Paneer Tandoori stealing the show. Among the curries, Rogan Josh is everyone's favourite.
