The IPL 2025 mega auction is now just a day away with the two-day event taking place on November 24 (Sunday) and 25 (Monday) at Jeddah in Saudi Arabia. Some of the biggest names will be up for salein the event, with KL Rahul being one of the players who can fetch the biggest amount at the auction. The experienced batter was released by Lucknow Super Giants ahead of the auction, after he captained them for three years. There have been strong rumours of Rahul rejoining Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in the upcoming season, and the franchise now may have dropped a major hint just a day before the auction.

RCB Drops Major KL Rahul Hint On Social Media

KL Rahul is currently playing for India as an opener against Australia in the first Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024 in Perth in the absence of skipper Rohit Sharma. He is looking in good form in the second innings as he is inching close to a well-made half-century. During his innings, KL Rahul hit a fantastic straight drive off Pat Cummins for a boundary.

RCB shared the video of this majestic straight drive on their X account, with the caption, "The KLassy Rahul we all know." While RCB have continously posted about India's achievements in the first Test vs Australia, the post regarding a single shot of KL Rahul might just be a hint that they are going to go all out for him at the IPL 2025 auction.

RCB have the second highest purse remaining in the auction with Rs 83.5 crore. Hence, they have the luxury to go big on KL Rahul. Getting Rahul will provide them with a solid option for captaincy, while also giving them an experienced Indian wicketkeeper-batter.

"Most Enjoyed Playing At RCB": KL Rahul

In an interaction with Star Sports, KL Rahul said that the IPL franchise where he enjoyed his best time was RCB. Thisfurther fuelled rumours of him going back to his former franchise from IPL 2025.

"I most enjoyed playing at RCB. It’s home. You get to spend a lot of time to spend at home. I know the Chinnaswamy really well, I have grown up playing there. So, yeah, I really enjoyed playing at RCB,"
