New Delhi: The Air Quality Index (AQI) of Delhi was recorded at 417 under the “severe” category as of 4 PM on November 16, according to Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) data. The CPCB also revealed that AQI levels in key areas of Delhi continued to remain in the severe category on Sunday (November 17). Anand Vihar recorded an AQI of 458, Ashok Vihar recorded an AQI of 466, and Aya Nagar recorded an AQI of 423—all categorised as “severe.”

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert on Sunday for the National Capital in light of the worsening air quality. The maximum temperature today is expected to reach 29 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature is likely to drop to 15 degrees Celsius. Relative humidity fluctuated between 79 percent and 94 percent.

Delhi Weekly Weather Forecast

The city is expected to witness a foggy atmosphere in the coming week. On November 18, November 19, and November 20, moderate fog is predicted. The maximum temperature is expected to range between 27 degrees C and 28 degrees C, while the minimum temperature is likely to range between 13 degrees Celsius and 14 degrees Celsius. Later, on November 21 and 22, the national capital is expected to experience dense fog. The maximum temperature is projected to oscillate between 28 degrees Celsius and 29 degrees Celsius , while the minimum temperature is forecasted to remain between 13 degrees Celsius and 14 degrees Celsius.

IMD Issues Alert

In light of the deteriorating air quality levels, the weather forecasting department has issued a yellow alert for fog across the city. Areas including North Delhi, West Delhi, South West Delhi, South Delhi, South East Delhi, and other regions remain under the yellow alert.
