Chennai: A 32-year-old man, Vignesh, who was admitted to Guindy Kalaignar Centenary Super Speciality Hospital (KCSSH) with complaints of stomach pain, died on Thursday after his health deteriorated. His relatives have alleged that the delay in medical attention contributed to his death.
This incident is from the same hospital where, a few days ago, a doctor was stabbed by a patient’s son who alleged negligence in treatment.
Vignesh was admitted to the hospital on Wednesday after experiencing severe stomach pain. Initially, he was placed in a normal ward for observation. However, as his condition worsened, he was shifted to the emergency ward on Thursday. Hospital sources confirmed that the duty doctors were present at the time, but despite their presence, Vignesh's condition deteriorated rapidly, leading to his unfortunate death.
His relatives, however, have expressed concerns over the hospital's response. They claim that the doctors did not attend to him in time, which they believe may have contributed to his sudden decline. The family is now seeking answers about the care he received during his admission.
The hospital has yet to respond publicly to the allegations, and further details about the case are awaited as the investigation continues.
