yashasvi jaiswal applauds elder brother tejasvi after maiden half-century in ranji trophy

Yashasvi Jaiswal applauded his elder brother Tejasvi after his maiden first-class half-century in the Ranji Trophy. While there are several photos of Yashavi with his family, not many know that Yashasvi's brother is also a cricketer. Yashasvi's Instagram story for his elder brother caught the attention of the users and many came to know that both brothers are professional cricketers.

Tejasvi, 27, made his domestic cricket debut for Tripura in the second round of the season. Tejasvi, who batted at number 3 in his debut game, didn't have a memorable outing and he departed for 13 off six balls. He struck three boundaries in his knock.

Tejasvi took his time in the second game against Mumbai and played 19 balls. But he only managed to score 4 runs. Batting at number 3 against Baroda, Tejasvi slammed a brilliant 82 off 159 balls. He missed out on a well-deserved century.

Courtesy of a combined batting effort from Tripura, they put on a big total of 482/7 on the board. The match between Mandeep Singh-led Tripura and Krunal Pandya's Baroda ended in a draw. Mandeep Singh and Jiwanjot Singh are professionals in Tripura's squad. Tejasvi also scalped his maiden wicket against Baroda and dismissed their opener for 46 runs.

It isn't known whether Tejasvi is among the players who will be up for grabs in the mega-auction. It will be interesting to see if Tejasvi and Yashasvi can play for the same IPL team in future.

Talking of Yashasvi, he got a huge pay raise and was retained by Rajasthan Royals (RR) for Rs 18 crore before the IPL 2025 mega-auction. The left-handed batsman has been part of RR since his IPL debut in 2020. RR retained him before the IPL 2022 mega-auction for Rs 4 crore.

Yashasvi made his India debut in a Test match against West Indies in 2023 and was part of the 2024 T20 World Cup-winning squad. He is yet to make it to the ODI squad.
