President-elect Donald Trump mentioned his managers Susie Wiles and Chris at least seven times, especially the former as he thanked his team in his Election night victory speech. On Thursday, the Republican announced Wiles as his White House chief of staff.
"Let me also express my tremendous appreciation for Susie and Chris. The job you did, Susie, come Susie, come here, come here, Susie. Chris, come here Chris. Susie likes to stay sort of in the back, let me tell you. The ice maiden, we call her the ice maiden," Trump said.

He added, "Thank you and thank you Susie. Look at her. She's shocked- I've never seen her be shocked before. They've been great, they're great. Everybody up here is great, everybody up here is very special."
Wiles will make history as the first woman to serve in this role.

Wiles, 66, was a high-ranked staff member for John Delaney and John Peyton, the Jacksonville mayors before getting recognition in political circles. She managed a team of professionals and ensured Team Trump could make a smooth transition to the White House following Trump's victory.
Prior to this, she worked as a senior advisor on Ron DeSantis's victory run for governor in 2018. She also managed Rick Scott's campaign for governor in 2010.
Wiles described her job as managing multiple parts of a campaign and analyzing the correct mechanics to keep a campaign going. She has stayed with the President-elect like other campaign aides but managed to stay away from the limelight.
