The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released its schedule for the Engineering Services (Preliminary) Examination 2025. The official notification of the UPSC ESE 2025 states that the exam will be conducted on June 8, 2025, at various centers across the country. The exam will be conducted in two shifts, with Paper I scheduled from 9:30 am to 11:30 am and Paper II from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm.

  • Total Marks: 200 marks
  • Subjects: General Studies and Engineering Aptitude

Second Shift (2 pm to 5 pm ):

Paper II: Discipline-specific paper

  • Paper Type: Objective or Multiple Type Questions
  • Duration: 3 hours
  • Total Marks: 300 marks
  • Subjects: Discipline-specific, technical questions based on civil, mechanical, electrical, electronics, and telecommunication engineering.
