India and Australia will face each other in the second Test of the 'A' series in what is a shadow tour ahead of the Border Gavaskar Trophy (BGT). The second and final match of the series will take place at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) from Thursday (November 7).
The first match was won by the Australian team by seven wickets. Although Mukesh Kumar impressed for India with a six-wicket haul, Sai Sudharsan continued to impress with a stunning century. Devdutt Padikkal also played an important knock.
India have been boosted by the arrival of KL Rahul and Dhruv Jurel, who joined the team after being part of the senior squad facing New Zealand. Both players did not play the Mumbai Test and are looking for match practice. Reports have suggested that Rahul will return to open the batting in a bid to replace Rohit Sharma in the playing XI for the Perth Test.
