IAS Pooja Singhal became one of the youngest IAS officers of the country by clearing UPSC CSE at the age of 21. She cleared the Union Public Service Commission in 1999. Singhal was born in Dehradun, Uttarakhand in 1978 and graduated from Gharwal University with a degree in business management. She was a motivated student from the start, and being an IAS officer was her dream, which inspired her to succeed at a young age.

At the time of her preparation, Pooja was confident and consistent in achieving her goals which made her accomplish her dream and shine as an epitome of hard work and inspirations for many UPSC CSE aspirants.

She was a great student since her school days, her academic record is also recorded in the Limca Book of Records, an Indian equivalent of the Guinness Book of World Records, which focuses on the unique achievements of Indians across the country and abroad.

After passing the UPSC exam, Pooja received training from the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration in Mussoorie. Her career included various assignments, including prominent positions in the Jharkhand State Department of Health and Family Welfare, and later the Agriculture Department. In 2021, she was appointed as the Secretary of the Jharkhand Mines and Industries Department.
