Devendra Fadnavis, the Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra, in an exclusive interview with Navika Kumar, Times Group Editor-in-Chief, took a dig at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, saying that there was no need to give him any advice sinc he "did not accept any". "I cannot give him any advice because he does not listen to anyone. His advisors are sufficient to create confusion for him, so my guidance is not needed," Fadnavis said.

In the interview, he also spoke about the ongoing investigation into the murder of veteran NCP leader Baba Siddique, and lauded the Mumbai Police for its investigation in the case.
"The individuals who fired the shots have already been arrested. 11 conspirators have been taken into custody and the police have concluded that it was a contract killing," Fadnavis said, before adding, "The Mumbai police is the most professional in the country. They will uncover all the details of the case soon. They have gone to great depths in this investigation, and further revelations will follow."
In a pointed message to former chief minister Uddhav Thackeray, Fadnavis said, "If he looks back once, he will realise how wrong his decision was." He further indicated that any alliance with Thackeray seems unlikely, saying, "There is no possibility of walking together. Vichar virodhi ho chuka hai, so we will have to fight politics differently."
