Lucky Baskhar, starring Dulquer Salmaan, minted over Rs. 55 crore at the box office and it is still going strong with positive word of mouth. Dulquer Salmaan expressed his gratitude for the success. The actor stated that he liked the narration by director Venky Atluri and instantly accepted the film. Dulquer also revealed that his dates were available and the makers have decided to take the film on floors in just two weeks.
‘Love To Explore Different Genres’
Dulquer Salmaan says that he loves to explore different genres and push himself as an actor. He is happy to have played Baskhar Kumar character which he felt is relatable. Even though he is the son of a superstar Mammootty, he stated that his mother made sure that he knows the value of money. “I used to dream about winning lottery as a kid and but don’t want to anything unlawful in real life,” he quips.
Dulquer Credits Nag Ashwin
The actor appreciated Nag Ashwin’s courage and casting him in Mahanati. He stated that he needs to know the language to emote and he feared he would bring down a magnum opus like Mahanati with his presence. “But it is Nag Ashwin and Swapna Dutt's belief in me that lead to Mahanati and then today's Lucky Baskhar. I am happy to have got Lucky Baskhar kind of a film, it is very unique.”
Mammootty Calls Telugu "Most Expressive One"
Dulquer stated that his father Mammootty loves to learn different languages and he also learnt from him. “My father loves Telugu language and he calls it "most expressive one" and I understand the truth behind his words with each film. I am glad that I became a household name in Telugu with three blockbuster films. Before the release, I asked editor Navin Nooli and director Venky to chop off some scenes but after seeing the audience's feedback, I understood that they both knew better than me,” shared Dulquer who will be next seen in ‘Aakasam lo Oka Taara’ in Telugu.
