Mahindra has revealed the names of the production versions of the BE.05 and XUV.e9 concepts. The former will be called the BE 6e, while the latter will be called the XEV 9e. In addition to sharing what their upcoming electric SUVs will be called, the homegrown automaker has also announced that both these products will make their global debut on November 26. The BE 6e will be the flagship product of Mahindra's new BE sub-brand, while the XEV 9e will be the flagship product for the new XEV sub-brand.

The teaser video shared by Mahindra announces the debut of the 6e and 9e and gives a sneak peek into their respective exterior designs. From what's visible, it's evident that both these upcoming Mahindra EVs don't deviate a lot from the aesthetics of their concepts. They have edgy and futuristic body panels with LED lights all around. We can see smartly designed aero wheels and flush door handles on both. The teaser also shows the interior of the BE 6e. The coupe will have a dual-screen layout, and a substantial central tunnel will separate the front seats.

Details related to the specifications of the 6e and 9e are still undisclosed, but we expect both to be powered by a single electric motor. Battery capacities will vary between 60 kWh and 80 kWh. What's also confirmed by the brand is that the new INGLO platform will underpin the BE 6e and XEV 9e. In terms of market positioning, the BE 6e will compete with the Tata Curvv EV and the production-spec Maruti Suzuki eVX. On the other hand, the XEV 9e, thanks to its bigger dimensions, will compete with the Tata Harrier EV and the Hyundai Creta EV.
