Liam Payne's funeral is reportedly set to take place next week. The ex-One Direction star's body is to be flown back to the UK in the next 48 hours. Liam's body arrived at the British cemetery in the city two days after he died. Post that, authorities investigated his death.
Liam's funeral to be held
According to a report in The Sun, Liam's body is now expected home in the UK within 48 hours with all the paperwork now completed. They sourced the information from the Argentinian daily La Nacion reported. At the latest, the 31-year-old could be back in the UK by Wednesday – with his funeral to be held in St Paul’s Cathedral in Wolverhampton. An autopsy performed on Liam determined that the singer received 25 injuries in the fall that killed him.
Liam was planning his exit from solo career
Meanwhile, some reports have claimed that the singer was all set to walk away from his solo career on the day of his death. As per an article in express.co.uk, Companies House documents revealed that Liam Payne had filed papers to quit as the director of four companies on the day of his death. The firms were used by Liam to gather the income he accumulated from recordings and live shows.

As per The Mail, his firms included Hampton Music Ltd, which was worth £17,300 in 2023. A second, Hampton Records Ltd, was valued at £300,000 in 2022, but this had fallen to less than £75,000, according to accounts. A third company, Long Play Touring LLP, which focused on live performances, dropped from £135,000 to £17,000 in 2023. Finally, Hampton Publishing Ltd was worth only £729.
Liam Payne died after falling from the third floor of a Buenos Aires hotel on October 16, aged 31. According to reports, he was under the influence of hallucinogenic drugs at the time of his death.
