PWR DUPR India Masters' women's doubles runners-up Xiao Yi Wang-Beckvall was all praise for the recent tournament, saying that she had an incredible time at the event held in New Delhi. One of Hawaii's top pickleball professionals and a gold medallist at the PPA Australia, she was one of the top-ranked stars in the draw and one of the most experienced among all players.
The PWR DUPR India Masters ended on a high last week, in what was pickleball's best show in the country, with around 700 players participating in a number of events across age groups and genders.
Wang-Beckvall admitted that she had an outstanding time at the India Masters, while appreciating everyone who successfully pulled off the tournament.

"What an incredible time at the PWR India Masters. So much appreciation for @pickleballworldrankings and everyone involved in putting on this unforgettable tournament," Wang-Beckvall wrote on an Instagram post.
Wang-Beckvall participated in three out of the five PRO Open events, including women's singles, women's doubles and mixed doubles. She began with a 15-12 win over eighth-seeded Indian Snehal Patil, but lost to top-seed Kao Pei Chuan in the quarterfinals.
Wang-Beckvall and Yuchieh Hsieh were seeded second in women's doubles and beat the fourth-seeded Helena Spiridis and Aiko Yoshitomi 11-4, 11-9 in the quarterfinals. They then thrashed sixth-seed Somer Dallabona and Sarah Burr 11-5, 11-4 in the semifinals.
Wang-Beckvall and Hsieh faced top-seeded Roos van Reek and Kaitlynn Hart in the finals and after a tough battle, went down 5-11, 11-8, 7-11.
"Had the best time playing with @yuchieh.hsieh as always, thanks for carrying us to finals and shoutout to @naveenbeasley.pb for partnering up last minute and getting us to quarters in mixed," Wang-Beckvall wrote on her Instagram.
Wang-Beckvall and Naveen Beasley were seeded sixth in mixed doubles and beat the 10th-seeded Sarah J Lim and Leander Lazaro in the opening round. But the duo were stunned by ninth seed Vishal Masand and Sarah Burr in the quarters 9-11, 9-11.
