To achieve this, production company Hombale Films has committed a budget significantly higher than that of the first film, investing in top-tier global talent.

The best or VFX and graphic works
Besides Todor Lazarov, Rishab Shetty has partnered with a prominent Hollywood agency to oversee the VFX and graphics, ensuring world-class visual effects.
Stunt master Todor Lazarov, who recently arrived in Kundapur, Karnataka, is set to choreograph two major action scenes for the prequel. Both scenes are expected to showcase a distinctive style, with one sequence drawing on the traditional Indian martial art Kalaripayattu, as hinted at in previous social media posts where Rishab Shetty was seen practising the ancient art.
Production of the Kantara prequel is underway, with a targeted release date of mid-2025. While the full cast remains under wraps, Rishab Shetty is expected to reprise his role. However, other casting and plot details remain confidential, adding to the anticipation surrounding this high-profile project.
