New Delhi: A man from Jamia Nagar was arrested allegedly for killing a seven-year-old boy in the national capital. During an interrogation, the accused confessed to attacking the kid with bricks, saying that the boy was resisting a sexual attack. The kid’s dead body was found on an under-construction site in Shaheen Bagh area. The police went through nearly 100 CCTV cameras to reach the suspects in the case. In one of them, a man was seen going to the site with a kid, the police said.
The investigation began from a PCR call on Thursday, detailing that a dead body of a seven-eight year boy was lying on the site in Shaheen Bagh. Following which, a police team reached the scene, and found that the body was oozing out the blood from his head.
Minor Went Missing, Found at Construction Site in Shaheen Bagh
An investigation was immediately launched, with the police checking 80-100 CCTV cameras to find out how the kid ended up at the construction site. The footage helped the police zeroing in to accused, Fida Hussain. Police said the accused had admitted to his crime. "As the boy resisted, he attacked the boy with bricks lying around and left him unconscious," police said, quoted by Times of India.
Following an investigation, the police found out that the kid had gone missing from an area in southeast Delhi. Ravi Singh, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), said that the accused has been booked under relevant sections of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.

In a separate crime incident, Delhi witnessed a double murder. A man was killed in front of his son on Diwali, along with his cousin. The Delhi Police arrested a 17-year-old minor in the matter. Allegedly, the minor was behind the act. According to the police, the minor had hired a shooter to execute the crime over a money dispute.
