The King of Bollywood Shah Rukh Khan is celebrating his 59th birthday today (November 1). Earlier reports suggested that King Khan was hosting an extravagant party (complete with a guest list) and the actor brought in his birthday quietly this year without any fanfare.
We were the first ones to report that the Jawan actor will be in India for his birthday this year. Our source told Zoom, "He will celebrate his birthday at his bungalow, Mannat, in Mumbai with close friends. It will be a private ceremony with selective friends from the industry."

Rather than throw a party, Shah Rukh drove to his close friend Aditya Chopra’s place with Karan Johar for a quiet dinner.
“Adi and Rani had arranged a cake for SRK to cut. Karan and Shah Rukh had a quiet dinner with Adi and Rani. Shah Rukh then drove back home,” a source in the know informs.
About the absence of fanfare this year for his birthday the source adds, “Shah Rukh feels 59 is nothing to celebrate. He will have a grand 60th birthday next year.”

Some years back on his birthday when I had called to wish Shah Rukh on his birthday he had said. “Birthdays are a reminder of mortality. One year closer to Judgement Day. I celebrate birthdays because my children like the excitement.”
