New Delhi: The Indian stock market will be closed for a total of ten days in November 2024, including weekends. Both the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and the National Stock Exchange (NSE) will remain shut on certain days due to public holidays and weekends. Investors are advised to plan their trades accordingly.

According to the holiday schedule on the BSE and NSE websites, the market closures include November 2 (Govardhan Puja and Balipratipada), November 3 (Sunday), November 9 (Saturday), November 10 (Sunday), November 15 (Guru Nanak Jayanti), November 16 (Saturday), November 17 (Sunday), November 23 (Saturday), November 24 (Sunday), and November 30 (Saturday).

Stock Market On October 30

In recent trading news, on October 30, the Nifty 50 closed with a slight dip of 0.51 per cent, settling at 24,340 points. The Sensex also ended lower, down by 0.53 per cent to close at 79,942 points. However, the mid- and small-cap indices continued their positive streak, with the Nifty Midcap 100 rising by 0.16 per cent and the Nifty Smallcap 100 gaining 1.05 per cent.

Banking stocks saw a downturn, with the Nifty Bank index falling nearly 1 per cent as nine out of twelve stocks closed in the red. Major banks, including ICICI Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Axis Bank, State Bank of India, and HDFC Bank, recorded losses ranging from 1 per cent to 1.5 per cent. The Nifty PSU Bank index also saw an end to its recent rally. Other sectors, such as Nifty Consumer Durables, Nifty Pharma, and Nifty IT, reported declines of over 0.8 per cent. Meanwhile, Nifty Media and Nifty FMCG indices bucked the trend, rising by 2.34 per cent and nearly 1 per cent, respectively.
