West Indies and England will go head-to-head against each other in the first match of three ODIs at the North Sound Stadium in Antigua on Thursday (October 31). The series will also see the teams play each other in a five-match T20I series later.
It is a vital series for England as they aim to finalise their plans for the 2025 Champions Trophy which is less than four months away. The visitors are without regular skipper Jos Buttler, who is still nursing an injury. While Harry Brook led the team in the ODI series against Australia, Liam Livingstone will captain the side in this in this series with no players from the Test squad that played against Pakistan, travelling to the Caribbean Islands.
West Indies have not qualified for the Champions Trophy and will aim to show the world they are still a formidable outfit in the format having also not played the Cricket World Cup in India last year. The Shai Hope-led team are coming into the series on the back of an ODI and T20I series defeat in Sri Lanka.
