Businessman and Harris supporter Mark Cuban, a prominent Kamala Harris supporter, has caused controversy by saying that Donald Trump is not seen around "strong, intelligent women." Coming on the backdrop of Joe Biden calling Trump supporters 'garbage,' leading to Donald Trump pulling off a publicity stunt with a garbage truck, Cuban's comments were interpreted by some as the billionaire suggesting that women supporting Trump are "weak and dumb."
“Donald Trump, you never see him around strong, intelligent women. Ever,” Cuban said on ABC's 'The View' Thursday. “It’s just that simple. They’re intimidating to him. He doesn’t like to be challenged by them. Nikki Haley will call him on his nonsense with reproductive rights and how he sees and treats and talks about women. I mean, he just can’t have her around. It wouldn’t work.”
So, Cuban did not exactly say that the women around Trump are weak and dumb. However, he did suggest during the TV discussion that Trump is not surrounded by intelligent women. He did not make a comment about the women voting for Trump, as such, but those interpreting it as such are not entirely wrong.
As a result, and especially coming on the backdrop of Biden's comments about people voting for Trump are 'garbage,' has given fuel to the Trump campaign, with Karoline Levitt, one of the key spokespersons of the campaign, immediately hitting out at Cuban.
“Joe Biden called Trump supporters garbage, and now Kamala’s top surrogate Mark Cuban insinuated female Trump supporters are ‘weak and dumb,'” Levitt said.
“This is extremely insulting to the thousands of women who work for President Trump, and the tens of millions of women who are voting for him. These women are mothers, entrepreneurs, and industry leaders and they are, indeed, strong AND intelligent, despite what Mark Cuban and Kamala Harris say.”
