2025 bmw m 1000 rr unveiled with series of updates

BMW Motorrad has updated its superbike lineup for 2025. The updated lineup includes the M 1000 RR, S 1000 RR, M 1000 R, and S 1000 R. However, the magnitude of changes varies depending on the model. These revisions can be seen in mechanics, aerodynamics, chassis, and the list of features. One change that is common among all four models is the updates made to make the model Euro5+ compliant.

To improve the uber-competitive package, BMW Motorrad has used a magnifying glass to develop a new version of the bike based on a homologated model. Diving into the changes, the engine has been redesigned with a new cylinder head. This comes in the form of a new oval-shaped intake and exhaust ports. There is also a new combustion chamber which has raised a new compression ratio from 13.5 to 14.5:1.

The Bavarian brand has also added a full-shaft titanium valve with a new tulip and seat geometry, and revised valve guides. The changes can also be seen in the form of a reduced seat angle for the exhaust valves to prevent backflow and optimised flow. Even after the changes, the power output of the engine is 205 hp at 13,000 rpm and 112 Nm of peak torque while revving at 11,000 rpm.

There are also changes in the M electronics package. This comes in the form of an M Quick-Action Throttle with 58 degrees of rotation which is less than the previous iteration's 72 degrees. This is aimed at giving the rider more control without repositioning the hand. Dynamic Traction Control has been made better with the new Slide Control function which uses the steering angle sensor, wheel speed, and other sensors.

The changes have seeped into the DNA of the bike with a revised frame with an engine mount on the left. The appearance also comes in the form of a new fairing design made out of plastic instead of carbon fiber. However, the winglets are still made out of carbon fibre which adds more downforce than before.

The design is complemented by two colour options: Light White with No. 60 Michael van der Mark WSBK M Motorsport graphics, or M Competition in Black Storm with No. 54 Toprak Razgatlioğlu WSBK M Motorsport graphics. The brand is also offering optional packages like M Competition Package, M Carbon Package, M Billet Package, and Individual Options.
