The lyrical video ofHuttutta Naavu, the first song from the upcoming Kannada movie Jalandhara, starring Pramod Shetty, has been released by Jhankar Music.
Sung by Avinash Basatkur, with lyrics penned by Manvarshi Navalagunda and music composed by Jatin Darshan, the song marks a significant moment in the film's promotion.

The inspiration behind the film
The concept ofJalandhara originated from a story recounted by Step Up Loki, inspired by tales from the Kanakapura region. “It’s a captivating story, and I felt strongly about bringing it to the screen. When we could not find a producer initially, I decided we should produce it ourselves, and I would direct it,” Pramod Shetty shared. Eventually, producer Madan stepped in to helm the project.
Pramod Shetty plays a serious role in the film as a police officer, but he emphasised that Jalandhara is a collaborative effort, with the story and its characters taking center stage. The film integrates the folk art of the Kanakapura region, aiming to convey its essence through the recently released song. "The lyrics written by Manvarshi Navalagunda truly resonate with the heart of the story," Pramod Shetty added.

Water and values of life
Step Up Loki, the story writer and one of the actors, elaborated on the inspiration behind the film. "I am from Kanakapura, and the tales my grandmother used to tell me about water deeply influenced this story. I shared it with Pramod Shetty, and he immediately connected with it. After a long search for a producer, we found Madan, and along with co-producers Chandramohan CL, Ramesh Ramachandra, and Padmanabhan Mangudoddy, we brought this vision to life," Loki remarked.
Director Vishnu V. Prasanna spoke about the film's underlying message. "Life is precious, and death can come in unexpected ways, especially around water. We aimed to create a story that raises awareness about the value of life. Jalandhara explores an underwater narrative, and I’m proud to have directed a film with such a unique story. We are targeting a November release,” he revealed.
