Srinagar: A terrorist attack on army vehicle in Botapathri area of Jammu and Kashmir’s Gulmarg was reported on Thursday. Two Army soldiers were killed in action, while two civilian porters also lost their lives. Meanwhile, three jawans sustained injuries
Issuing a statement, police said, "Some exchange of fire took place between forces and terrorists in Butapathri sector of District Baramulla around Nagin post. Further details will be shared after verifying facts."
The vehicle attacked belonged to the 18 Rashtriya Rifles (RR) and it was en route from Botapathr and was part of a convoy in Baramulla when the terrorists launched an attack.
This comes just hours after terrorists shot at and injured a labourer in the Batgund Tral area of Pulwama district. The injured labourer has been identified as Pritam Singh, a resident of Uttar Pradesh.

On October 20, a doctor and six construction workers were killed when terrorists attacked a tunnel construction site on the Srinagar-Leh national highway in the Ganderbal district. The Ganderbal attack was the worst on civilians in recent months, and took place just days after Omar Abdullah took his oath of office.

The unidentified attackers struck as the labourers and other staff returned to their camp in Gund, Ganderbal, late in the evening. The terrorists — believed to be at least two — opened indiscriminate fire on the group of labourers that included both locals and non-locals.
