The show is currently streaming on Netflix. In the first two seasons, most fans adored Maheep and Seema's amazing bonding. However, in the third season, the two shared a changed dynamic, as things were clearly tense between them.
What went wrong between Maheep and Seema
Karan Johar, who is also the producer of the show tried to clear the air between the two besties. During a conversation between the three, Seema revealed how she was held guilty for spreading Covid to Maheep Kapoor and her family including her old parents and daughter Shanaya. "I was blamed as the super-spreader", said Seema while she addressed her issues with Karan.
Maheep then said to the camera, "Seema and I are socially totally fine with each other. But I think Karan picked up on something at Gauri’s party and he said, ‘Listen, we need to talk about it."
Karan then said, "Today when I see the dynamics have all changed. I feel like Bhavana is close to both of you individually. But there seems to be like a wall that has come between the two of you. Friends are for life. You make them, they’re very rare. Seema, to ask you, because you know that there’s been a distance between you and Maheep. What do you think the distance is because of?"

We are at opposite ends: Seema
To this Seema replied, "For the first time in our friendship, we are at opposite ends. We always used to say we balance each other out, we’re yin and yang. But in the last two years, there’s been so many incidents and so much that’s happened ever since that Covid incident. I got sick a week prior to finding out I had Covid. I was shooting for the show. I was testing twice a week. I really did not think I had Covid, Karan. At that point, I was completely being blamed as a super-spreader. When Maheep got Covid, I was like ‘Is Maheep okay? Are her parents okay? Is Shanaya okay?’ I called her every day, twice a day. I didn’t get a callback."
In her defence, Maheep then replied, "I was going through my own madness in my head. I had exposed myself, my old parents and Shanaya (to Covid). We all fell down like nine pins. Understand the trauma that I was going through after my house help Rekha passed away due to the virus, when doctors are saying my old mother needs to go to hospital."
Seema then added, "When she (Maheep) got diabetes (a few months after contracting Covid), Karan, it was twofold. I have died. I have thought that ‘Have I given her diabetes? Is it my fault?’ I spoke to Sanjay who told me that Maheep is in the hospital. I have reached out, ask Shanaya if you don’t believe me, every day I called. I have on occasion reached the hospital gate, Karan, and Shanaya said, ‘Mum doesn’t want to see anybody’. I have done a U-turn and come home."
To this Maheep replied, "I don’t want to play the victim, but according to my doctor, the diabetes could be a repercussion of the Covid. I was never blaming her for it. I am an adult, Karan. I understand. There were a lot of moronic things that happened."
