nas daily says he lost followers, brand deals due to political opinion on 'israel' question

New Delhi: Israeli vlogger Nuseir Yassin, who runs the widely followed Nas Daily channel on the Internet, shared his political opinion amid the ongoing tension in the Middle East due to Israel’s three-front war against Hamas in Gaza, Lebanon’s Hezobollah and Houthi rebels in Yemen. “I think Israel should exist,” he said, backing the two-state solution.

"My political opinion, which I make very clear, that we need two states for two people, but also we need to free Palestine from Hamas, from radicalism, from terrorism. I am not for that at all. I think Israel should exist," Yassin, 32, said at the NDTV World Summit.

Yassin, who took the internet by storm with his one-minute videos on Facebook and YouTube channel, said he succeeded despite losing followers and brand deals due to his political opinion.

"So, I succeeded despite being cancelled more than 10 times. Because the videos are just so damn good, you're willing to listen to somebody from Israel even though you hate Israel so much. And the lesson here I think for everybody is – there is this amazing picture of one guy standing and a 10,000 people and the guy says 'You're all wrong'. I want everybody to think about this picture, 'You're all wrong'.

"What are you willing to stand in front of 10,000 people who disagree with you and tell them 'You're all wrong'? What is something you deeply believe in, that is deeply, deeply unpopular? For me, it is the Israel-Palestine conflict. But for you it is something else. It is a great exercise for every single person sitting here.

"What is something you deeply believe in that everybody around you still disagrees with? Yet for some reason you still believe in it. I think that is what you should make videos about," Nas Daily said.

Nuseir Yassin rose to global fame with daily one-minute video on his Facebook page and YouTube channel. Each video, known as a "Nas Daily" video, featured him sharing interesting insights from his travels around the world. He eventually launched a media company, Nas Daily Corporation.

A year since the October 7 attack by Hamas, Israel is now fighting war on three fronts. It is battling Hamas in the Gaza Strip, Hezbollah in Lebanon and Houthi rebels in Yemen – all of them are known to be proxy groups of Iran. It is feared that the war could escalate massively if Iran joins the war directly.

Palestinian terror group Hamas attacked southern Israel on October 7, killing about 1,200 people, mostly civilians, and taking 251 hostages.

Israel's retaliatory military campaign has killed more than 44,000 people in Gaza, according to the Hamas-run health ministry.

Israel believes that 63 hostages, including two children, are still alive. 34 hostages have been confirmed dead but remain in Gaza.
