Challenges of a farmer
Ravi Nagpure, himself the son of a farmer, highlighted his connection to the story: "I have closely witnessed the struggles of farmers. The belief that farmers should not marry their daughters to other farmers is something I hope to challenge through this film. Educated individuals should embrace farming, as modern agriculture offers significant opportunities. This message is central to the film's story."
He added that the film, which features an educated protagonist who reluctantly turns to farming due to circumstances, is a family-friendly watch.
Director Vikas Vilas Misaal praised the storyline crafted by Ravi Nagpure and said, "The story written by Ravi Nagpure is exceptional, and I had the privilege of directing it. Janmejay Telang and Tanvi Sawant have done a commendable job as the lead actors."
Lead actor Janmejay Telang, who plays a character that embraces farming to fulfil his brother's dream, said, "My character serves as a role model for others through modern agricultural practices." Actress Tanvi Sawant also expressed her enthusiasm, stating, "I am proud of my role in the film and believe it carries a powerful message."
With its release in Kannada, Jai Kisan aims to resonate with audiences in Karnataka, bringing the story of a farmer’s resilience and modern agricultural aspirations to a new audience.
