hulu live down? fans blast streaming service for crashing middle of games

Multiple users in the United States reported facing an outage with the streaming service provider Hulu Thursday evening even as multiple MLB, NFL, college football and soccer games were streaming live.

"2 playoff baseball games, nfl, college football, and @hulu just stops fucking working," one angry user said. "If this isn’t fixed in 2 minutes I’m switching to YouTube TV. This is a fucking joke and waste of money."

The platform Down Detector, which tracks such outages live based on users' reports, showed an upward curve of reports, with 75% reporting facing issues with video streaming, while 25% faced problems with logging in.

Meanwhile, one user facing issues with logging in wrote: "AAArgh. That's it. I am done with Hulu Live TV. Once again, we were bounced out of Hulu and can't log back in. And we have the Disney bundle. Can't log into ESPN+ either. So no Islanders game."

"It’s game 4 of the NLCS. Tied 1-1. Not cool. Second time this week! Although the first time this happened the Mets won so maybe this is good luck," wrote one user.

One person even went on to threaten a class-action lawsuit against Hulu.

"Dear @hulu, Welcome to my class action lawsuit. I pay $100s of dollars and you go down during playoff baseball? I want $1,000,000 in punitive damages," the user wrote.

The support team of Disney-owned Hulu responded to several of the users' comments, and suggested an alternative 'workaround', in the meantime.

"Apologies for any inconvenience!" they wrote. "Our team is aware of this behavior and we're working to get you back to your favorite content as soon as we can. In the meantime, try using: https://hulu.tv/TVEverywhere- as a possible workaround!"
