Delhi Capitals End Suspense Over IPL Coaching Staff; Name Ricky Ponting, Sourav Ganguly Replacements

Delhi Capitals ended a long suspense over their coaching staff for the 2025 Indian Premier League (IPL) while confirming former India cricketer Hemang Badani as the new head coach. Badani will replace Ricky Ponting in the top job.

Meanwhile, Vengupoal Rao will replace Sourav Ganguly as the head of cricket. While Ganguly remains part of the franchise, he will not play an active role in the next two seasons in the IPL. Rao is the new director of cricket. Ganguly was earlier confirmed as the JSW Group's Director of Cricket.
