On October 16, BPM Entertainment’s parent label One Hundred issued a statement. An official from the label revealed that a now former manager had taken out multiple loans from more than 40 different illegal money lenders by using the personal contact details saved on his phone as security. When the manager failed to repay the loans, the lenders began reaching out and sending threats to the people whose information had been used.

The manager reportedly shared the personal details of 1200 people with the loan sharks. The list includes the label's staff members, celebrities signed under the label and industry figures the manager previously worked with. BPM Entertainment is home to VIVIZ, SHINee's Tamein, BADVILLAIN, former Wanna One member Ha Sung-woon, Lee Mujin, Be'O, former NU'EST Ren member and Lee Seung-gi.

The representative from BPM Entertainment shared, "Our employees are currently unable to perform their duties properly due to the overwhelming fear caused by the constant threatening calls from these illegal loan companies," before adding, There is a possibility that others, like us, may become victims as a result of the contacts Mr. A (the manager) provided as collateral. If you receive any threatening calls or messages related to Mr. A’s loans, we strongly urge you to report them to the police immediately."
