As per the IMD forecast, Chennai is facing a heavy rain warning today, and a red alert has been issued for the city. The IMD has issued an orange alert for the city for tomorrow. Today, a red alert is in place for extremely heavy rain. Additionally, S Balachandran, Director Of Chennai Regional Meteorological Centre said, ''There is no chance for the current system to be a cyclone.''
