Kolkata: The city has been experiencing light showers for the past few hours across various parts of Kolkata. The India Meteorological Department (IMD), predicted a generally cloudy sky with light rain on Wednesday. Additionally, the IMD forecasts a generally cloudy sky with light rain tomorrow (October 17) as well.
Today, the maximum temperature is expected to reach 31 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature is expected to reach 26 degrees Celsius. The relative humidity oscillated between 75 percent and 83 percent.
Kolkata Weekly Weather Forecast
The city is not expected to receive a week-long rainfall. On October 17, October 18 and October 19, the city is expected to witness a generally cloudy sky with light rain. The maximum temperature is expected to be 32 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature is expected to range between 26 degrees Celsius and 27 degrees Celsius.
Then, on October 19 and October 20, the city is anticipated to witness a partly cloudy sky. The temperatures are expected to remain constant with maximum expected to be 33 degrees Celsius and the minimum expected to be 26 degrees Celsius. Later, on October 22, the city is expected to witness a partly cloudy sky with possibility of rain or thunderstorm. The maximum temperature is expected to be 32 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature is expected to be 26 degrees Celsius.
IMD Alerts
The weather forecasting department issued a yellow alert in few areas in West Bengal. These areas include, Paschim Medinipur, Purba Medinipur, South 24 Parganas and North 24 Parganas. Kolkata had not received any alerts today, and as per latest IMD data there is no alert issued for tomorrow as well.
