If he manages to do so, he will become the first Indian batter to slam 1000 or more runs in a single WTC cycle twice. He has achieved this feat once in th WTC 2019-21 cycle where he scored 1094 runs.

He will also become the fourth player after Ben Stokes, Brendon McCullum and Adam Gilchrist.
He needs five more sixes to become the Indian with the most number of sixes by an Indian in Test Cricket, by overtaking legendary opener Virender Sehwag's tally of 91 maximums in the longest format.
