Veteran couturier Rohit Bal, India’s first true fashion icon, made a spectacular comeback, closing the Lakmé Fashion Week X FDCI with a show-stopping finale. The OG showman of Indian couture wowed the crowd in New Delhi with his latest collection, Kaaynaat: A Bloom in the Universe. Known for his signature opulence, Bal’s show was nothing short of being surreal. The collection featured Tunisian hats, flowing capes, cloaks, and capes, crafted with stunning fabrics, all brought to life with the most exquisite embroidery. Ivory, wine, and black, dominated the colour palette. His love for florals was on full display in his latest collection, dominated by bold rose motifs that beautifully captured the cosmic mystery of a flower’s journey — from bud to glorious bloom.
Ananya Panday looked gorgeous as she walked the runway as the showstopper, dazzling in a cape-style jacket and a voluminous skirt adorned with oversized rose motifs. The result? Pure magic. The perfect blend of drama and elegance, with floral elements added that extra touch of grandeur.

Bal received a loud ovation and love from the audience as he joined Ananya and the models to take his bow. Ananya handed him a rose, and, in trademark Rohit Bal style, he broke into an impromptu dace. The crowd cheered as Bal had made his comeback with a bang, presenting a collection that few can rival today.
His return to the runway after a critical health scare last year made the show feel extra special — evident from the overwhelming love both from the audience and on social media.
