Mumbai: The killing of Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Baba Siddique, just days after the murder of another NCP leader has put a big question mark on the security situation in the state of Maharashtra. This year alone, Maharashtra witnessed several such incidents that shocked the country and when the details emerged, no one could believe it — someone in jail was planning the attacks and others from different areas were following. Why?
Baba Siddique was shot at by unknown assailants on Saturday (October 12) night after which he was rushed to Lilavati Hospital. During treatment, he succumbed to his wounds. Two of the shooters, Dharmraj Kashyap and Shiv Kumar Gautam, are from Uttar Pradesh — Gram Gandara in Bahariach.
Another accused, Gurmail Singh, is from Haryana. Dharmaraj and Gurmail have been arrested while a hunt is on for Gautam and a fourth accused, Zeeshan Akhtar. Police said that Lawrence Bishnoi gang has claimed responsibility for the attack.

NCP Leader Sachin Kurmi Stabbed To Death
A few days back, NCP's Byculla Vidhan Sabha constituency's taluka president Sachin Kurmi was stabbed to death by unknown attackers. He was out for a walk when the criminals attacked him in the chest, head, hand and other body parts. Kurmi succumbed to over 10 such grievous injuries.
According to police, three persons wearing masks came on a scooter and stabbed Kurmi. There was no CCTV camera at the crime scene and the one in a nearby area couldn't properly capture the faces.

Even the scooter's registration number was not clear. The teams were working on the case when another leader's death took place posing another challenge before the cops in poll-bound Maharashtra.
Bollywood actor Salman Khan earlier cancelled the Bigg Boss shoot and rushed to visit the family of Baba Siddiuq in Lilavati Hospital. Meanwhile, security outside his house has also been increased in view of Bishnoi Gang's post that Baba Siddique was killed for helping Salman Khan. They also accused the actor of starting a "war".
Firing At Salman Khan's House
This follows the incident in April this year when two unknown bike-borne assailants fired shots at Salman Khan’s Galaxy Apartment. The accused — Vicky and Sagar– in judicial custody fired five rounds outside his apartment in Mumbai on April 14.
A total of six arrests were made out of which, one person– Anujkumar Thapan allegdely died by suicide in police custody. They were all made part of this operation on the orders of Lawrence Bishnoi — who is lodged in Gujarat’s Sabarmati jail.
Mumbai police made nine people including gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, Anmol, who resides in Canada and is the brother of jailed gangster Bishnoi, accused in the case.
A team of police is also rushing to Gujarat to question Lawrence Bishnoi who is in jail but yet is managing to orchestrate attacks on leaders and actors from behind.
