This trend is expected to grow, with the UN predicting that 68 per cent of the global population will live in urban areas by 2050. The majority of this rapid urbanization, nearly 90 per cent, is taking place in Asia and Africa. As wealth rises and economies expand, Asian cities are becoming hotspots for new business opportunities and development. According to the Savills report, 14 out of the 15 fastest-growing cities in the world are in Asia. The focus on technology-driven growth is further enhancing Asia’s dominance, making these cities more attractive for investment. Countries such as Vietnam, India, and the Philippines are seeing a rapid rise in middle-class households earning over $70,000 annually.

Bengaluru, India, has been named the world’s fastest-growing city by 2033. The IT Capital of India has topped the list because of its booming tech industry, population growth, and rising wealth. Following Bengaluru is Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam.
