ex-pak cricketer launches explosive 'mandir ke ghante ki tarah..' rant after men in green stoop to new low

The last Pakistan won a Test match at home was all the way back in 2021, since then it has been more than 1,331 days, and Pakistan have only seen demoralising defeats ever since. Their last Test victory came under Babar Azam's captaincy against South Africa in Rawalpindi.

Pakistan's defeat to England by an innings and 47 runs in Multan despite scoring 500 runs during the match spells that there are a few deep-rooted issues in the side. Reacting to the loss in the first Test, former batter Ahmed Shehzad heavily criticised the current crop of players.

Shehzad came up with a no-holds-barred dig at the Pakistan team saying that any team in the world is currently capable of beating Pakistan following their dismal show against Bangladesh and England at home.

"Please fear god. Koi bhi aata hai aur aapko mandir ke ghante ki tarah baja deta hai. First Bangladesh came and you guys made a shameful history by losing to Bangladesh for the first time. You got whitewashed. Now against England, you've put up another shameless performance," Shehzad said on his YouTube channel.

"There is no winning attitude in this team. The pitch might be flat but no one was putting an effort. You sledge sometimes, try to bowl bouncers but everyone looked clueless. The pace of the bowlers has gone down to 125-130 kmph," the veteran added.

Having last played for Pakistan in 2019, Shehzad lamented the fact that the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) are too afraid to give chances to youngsters.

"These players don't have any accountability. They know that their place in the team is not under any kind of threat. PCB doesn't want to give opportunities to the youngsters. The previous management also did the same," Ahmed Shehzad stated further.

Captain Shan Masood has yet to record a win since taking over as red-ball captain and Babar Azam has offered his resignation as skipper from the white-ball formats, leaving PCB in a spot of bother.
