Bank Holidays On Dussehra And Durga Puja

Depending on the state, banks will be closed on different days around the festival. Here’s the full list.

October 10

Banks will be closed in Tripura, Assam, Nagaland, and Bengal for Durga Puja/Dussehra (Maha Saptami).

October 11

Banks will be closed in states like Tripura, Karnataka, Orissa, Tamil Nadu, Assam, Sikkim, and more for Dussehra (Mahashtami/Mahanavami) or Ayudha Puja.

October 12

Banks across all states will be closed for Dussehra (Vijayadashami) and the second Saturday of the month.

October 13

All banks will be closed on Sunday.

October 14

Banks will be closed in Sikkim for Durga Puja (Dasain).

For customers in Tripura, Assam, and Bengal, there will be a long weekend with banks closed from October 10 to 13. In Sikkim, banks will remain closed from October 11 to 15.

Bank Holidays In October 2024

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has released the list of bank holidays for October 2024. Banks across the country will be closed for a total of 15 days in October. The closure dates will vary by state, with some regions observing up to four consecutive days off.

Banks across India will be closed on Sunday.

October 26

Banks will be closed on the fourth Saturday, and for Accession Day in Jammu and Kashmir.

October 27

All banks will be closed on Sunday.

October 31

Banks will be closed in most states for Diwali, Kali Puja, or Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s Birthday.
