Vettaiyan starring Rajinikanth in the lead, has hit theatres on October 10. Directed by TJ Gnanavel, the film tells the story of encounter killings, exposing crimes against the underprivileged.

The film's FDFS, opened with fans cheering for the Superstar. The actor's family, including wife Latha, and daughters Aishwarya and Soundarya visited the theatres to watch the first show of the film.

Soundarya Rajinikanth recently visited a temple in Tamil Nadu, along with her husband Vishagan. Soundarya. The couple offered special prayers for Rajinikanth who was unwell last week, and underwent heart-related treatment. The couple's sons Ved Krishna and Veer Vanangamudi were missing during the temple visit.

About Vettaiyan

Vettaiyan is a thriller which boasts of an ensemble cast including Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Manju Warrier, Ritika Singh, and Dushara Vijayan. Rajinikanth and Amitabh Bachchan reunite for a film after 33 years, their last outing was Hum.

Vettaiyan revolves around Athiyan (Rajinikanth), a cop who is renowned for specialising in encounter killings On the opposite end of the spectrum, there is a judge named Sathyadev (Amitabh Bachchan), who believes that encounters are an unjust means of dealing with human life. The film puts these two people at the end and raises questions on police taking justice in their own hands.

Scoring music for Vettaiyan is Anirudh. This marks his fourth collaboration with Rajinikanth. The singles from the filmManasilaayo and Hunter Vantaar became viral hits on social media.
