Investigations into the 560 kg cocaine haul in Delhi have revealed the involvement of a transnational racket operating for years in the national capital. The mastermind has been identified as Virender Vasova, a fugitive narco dealer presently in Dubai. Apart from 560 kilograms of cocaine, 40 kilograms of hydroponic marijuana estimated to be worth around Rs 5,620 crore were seized by the police in one of the biggest drug busts ever seen in the city.

Four people were arrested from South Delhi's Mahipalpur during the raid, officials said.

According to police sources, Vasova fixed the entire deal and got in touch with arrested accused Tushar Goyal and Jitender Gill. Other meetings were held through video conferencing

Vasova was earlier arrested in a drug bust case but was released on bail. After securing bail, he fled to Dubai and set up his empire there, the police said.

During interrogation, Tushar Goyal said Vasova convinced them to drug trafficking promising "big money" in narcotics.

"Vasova assured him that his warehouse will be used to only store cocaine. For every consignment he was offered Rs 3 crore," a cop said.

Tushar Goyal met Jitender Gill in London. "Gill has been staying in London for past 17 years. During his stay in India, Gill used to stay in a hotel in Panscheel Park," the official said.

"From Panscheel Park the two used to go to Ghaziabad and Hapur. One of the arrested accused Jain had come from Mumbai to take 15 kilograms of cocaine," the official added.

Special Cell teams are carrying out raids in Mumbai.

Gill, the police said, landed in Delhi shortly after the consignment of cocaine worth Rs 5600 crore reached the national capital.
