In what comes as a good news for wildlife enthusiasts, Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve (TATR) in Maharashtra will be offering a unique experience to all of its visitors. It is now opening up a ropeway safari for wildlife enthusiasts. French ropeway company POMA SAS has proposed world’s first ropeway system over a tiger reserve potentially. This will allow visitors to spot tigers and other wildlife from an aerial perspective. The aim of this initiative is to enhance the wildlife tourism, along with preserving Tadoba’s rich ecosystem.

As per the project, the said ropeway will take visitors through the dense forest, all while maintaining the peace below, and not disturbing the wildlife.

Benjamin Fauchier Delavigne, Public Affairs Director and Head of Sales for Asia at POMA SAS, presented the company’s intent to Maharashtra’s Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. This happened during a foundation stone ceremony for Pernod Ricard’s distillery in Butibori. He elaborated the importance of the ropeway's design in ensuring minimal disturbance to the natural environment.
