Nagpur, Maharashtra | 9th October 2024 – In a heartbreaking incident, a seven-year-old girl lost her life after falling from a scooter and coming under the wheels of a mini truck in Nagpur on Tuesday evening. The accident occurred on a road between Gopal Nagar and Padole Square.
The little girl was riding on the back of a scooter driven by her grandfather, on their way to a dance class, when a vehicle hit them from behind. The crash made both the girl and her grandfather fall onto the street. While her grandfather escaped serious injury, the girl was tragically run over by the truck. The child suffered severe head injuries and despite being rushed to a nearby hospital, she unfortunately succumbed to her wounds, leaving the family and community devastated.
Authorities from the Pratap Nagar police station have registered a case against the unknown driver responsible for hitting the scooter. A thorough investigation is underway to identify the vehicle and bring the driver to justice.
The incident highlights the increasing danger posed by reckless driving and the need for greater road safety awareness, especially for vulnerable riders.
