The singer is reportedly afraid of long-term repercussions because the tape purports to reveal both men's faces clearly.
According to insiders, the release of the footage has caused the star to experience further pain. One insider described the situation as "a total nightmare," adding that the star felt as though he was being assaulted once more. He could be haunted by the thought of the video becoming viral forever. They clarified that there is a considerable emotional cost. "It's triggering unsettling memories."
The Post has reported that multiple individuals are attempting to sell the footage. The source also indicated that while the celebrity is "trying to ignore" the situation, he is deeply unsettled. "He’s praying it all goes away," the insider said, highlighting the star's anxiety over the potential fallout. "There’s not much he can do if it’s leaked."

An officer with the Department of Homeland Security, who participated in a search on Combs' Miami house, stated that law enforcement agents suspect Diddy shot incriminating footage at his estate. Reportedly equipped with "sex rooms," Combs was able to videotape and observe sex parties from a distance using the home. The officer was unable to verify if the A-list celebrity is shown in the tape that the authorities had acquired. While he would not identify them, the officer did admit that "recognizable names" were involved.
In an interview with NewsNation, attorney Ariel Mitchell-Kidd—who is defending a number of Combs' accusers—said she had seen still photos from the purported sex tape. She said that the video, which shows Combs and the anonymous celebrity, is real. "I can verify it exists. It’s real, and the person is very visible," she stated. Mitchell-Kidd also suggested that the celebrity involved in the tape is “more high-profile” than Combs.
The attorneys for Combs have denied having any knowledge of the video and charged Mitchell-Kidd of pursuing "publicity and attention."
Attorneys announced on Tuesday that over 100 claimed victims—including a nine-year-old boy—are getting ready to file lawsuits against Combs, further intensifying the crisis around him. These allegations, which date back more than thirty years, include charges of sexual assault and exploitation. Tony Buzbee, a Texas-based attorney who is representing several of the allegations, called the victims' ages "shocking." 120 people have filed complaints, some of them are children, and around half of the victims are men.
