India skipper Rohit Sharma has said he has spent enough years on the field to trust his judgments on his actions. Even though every decision doesn't go his way, one has to back it with the experience and instincts gathered from years of playing top-level professional cricket. The captain spoke after India inched out a win from less than three days of a Test, playing uncharacteristic cricket but enough to win.
After a complete washout on days two and three in the second Test against Bangladesh, the Indian team scored an unprecedented eight runs plus per over, to set it up with a total of 173.2 overs required for a result.
Having dismissed Bangladesh for 233 in the first innings, India declared their first innings on 285/9. Bangladesh were bowled out for a paltry 146 in their second innings, leaving India just 95 runs to win.

"I have been (out) there enough to trust my judgements on what I do. The decisions that I take on the field, I then go by. Obviously there are players around me who are open to giving suggestions but, at the end of the day, I trust my mind and my judgement and that's all that matters when you are playing," Rohit told BCCI.

"At the highest level, you need to have a bit of everything. You need to be calm to make decisions wisely, you need to take a lot of decisions and not every decision will go your way but you have to back it and use your experience and knowledge, that is what I do," Rohit said.
The Indian skipper admitted that in case his team's aggressive approach in the first innings against Bangladesh went haywire and didn't bore the same result, a lot of flak would have come his way.
