Pune: A 42-year-old software engineer and his wife faced a terrifying ordeal in the early hours of September 29 when motorcycle-borne men chased their car and allegedly attacked and damaged it with iron rods near Nande village in an attempt to stop them. The couple managed to escape and reached their home in Sus. A complaint has been registered, and the police are currently searching for the attackers.
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), a user named @_ravi_karnani posted a video of the incident and captioned it as, ''We were attacked !!! There were total of 40 people in different pockets with Iron Rods, Stones and Sticks who were attacking our car, with 2 bikes and a car filled with Local goons chasing us at a speed of 80kmpl !!!The local Police took their side stating they were patrolling.''

An auto-rickshaw driver was caught on camera while stomping on a car of a commuter who allegedly tried to overtake him. The incident took place on September 27 outside the Aundh Military Station gate, near Rakshak Chowk in Pune. In a viral video, the accused driver can be seen getting into a violent confrontation with the complainant. He was seen kicking and threatening Rishab Verma, the man who was allegedly attacked. The victim then reached the Sangvi Police Station to lodge an FIR.
The complainant said he was going to Kharadi from Punawale to pick up his wife. At around 5:30 pm, he reached the Aundh Military Station Gate, where he attempted to overtake the auto-rickshaw. This angered the accused driver, who tried to physically hurt Rishab. Since he was seated inside the car, and the window was also closed, the accused could not touch him, the video showed. However, this did not stop the accused. He kicked the car's side mirror, banged on the window, stood outside the car and dared the complainant to come out. The accused also hurled cuss words at Rishab who recorded the entire incident in his camera. Despite the complaint being lodged, no action has been taken in the matter so far.
