Chennai Flight Operations Face Disruptions
The recent heavy rains in Chennai have caused problems, especially at the airport. Recently, several flights faced delay in departure, leaving passengers stranded for hours. The disruptions occurred due to strong storms, that made it unsafe for planes to land. Due to which, one plane had to fly back to Bengaluru because it could not land in Chennai. Other flights from big cities like Delhi, Mumbai, and Bengaluru had to circle the airport until the weather got better.
In total, 20 flights leaving Chennai and 3 flights coming to Chennai were delayed. Two flights were cancelled. The weather forecast says that there will be more rain in northern Tamil Nadu this weekend. People who live in Chennai and are travelling should keep an eye on the weather to be prepared for any problems.
