Team India created history as they recorded the fastest fifty in Test cricket in the second Test against Bangladesh at the Green Park Stadium in Kanpur. India reached the feat in just three overs, beating England's record, who achieved the feat against West Indies earlier this year in 4.2 overs.
Having bowled out Bangladesh for 233, India came out all guns blazing. Yashasvi Jaiswal started the innings with three boundaries in the first over and Rohit Sharma followed it up with two sixes on his first two deliveries. Rohit Sharma was eventually dismissed for 23 in just 11 balls by Mehidy Hasan Miraz.
India are after a result in the second Test and they would look to continue this positive gameplay. Rain took out significant time out of the match, leaving India wth just two days to get a result. India did well with the ball and restricted Bangladesh to 233. For India to get a result, they would need to wipe out these runs as quickly as possible and take a handy lead before asking Bangladesh to bat. The Rohit Sharma-led side would need around 50-60 overs to bowl out Bangladesh in the second innings so run rate would play a key role in the match.
