One of the most promising youngsters right now in the Indian domestic circuit is none other than Musheer Khan, who stole the show with his brilliant performances for Mumbai last year in the Ranji Trophy, and also in the Duleep Trophy this year. However, in an unfortunate turn of events, the 19-year-old brother of Sarfaraz Khan, will be out of action now after suffering a car accident where he injured his neck.

Even though, it was not revealed as to how long the batter will be out, it looks like we have a clear picture now, and it is not heartening to see for Mumbai especially.

Musheer Khan Out Of Action For 16 Weeks

According to a report by the Indian Express, Musheer Khan's car hit a divider and overturned on the Yamuna Expressway when he, along with his father and two others, were travelling from Azamgarh to Lucknow. Musheer was rushed to a hospital, where doctors said that he had suffered a concussion and pain behind his neck. He will thus be out for 16 weeks, according to the doctors. He may be also carrying a possible fracture, which is yet to be ascertained.

What Tournaments Will Musheer Khan Miss?

Musheer Khan who was part of the Mumbai squad for the Irani Cup 2024 match against Rest of India, is definitely going to miss the game which starts on October 1. He will also miss the initial few rounds of the Ranji Trophy 2024-25 season for Mumbai.

BCCI Monitoring Musheer Khan's Injury Situation

According to an official from the Mumbai Cricket Association, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is closely monitoring the injury situation of Musheer Khan and they will be doing another round oof medical tests, once he flies back to Mumbai.

“He met with an accident last night and will miss the Irani Cup. He will be flying back to Mumbai on Sunday. The medical team of MCA and BCCI is monitoring his situation. The BCCI will be doing another round of medical tests and scan once he returns,”
